Oh boy! What a year!

Definitely a year that I will never forget. There was a lot of things that happened this year that for sure tested on how strong of a mindset I have. But in the end, I’m content, because that’s the only thing you can do is move on from it and also enjoy the learning process.

See, we don’t have a thousand years to live here on this planet, so just keep enjoying this journey that we call “life.”

Always remember to make it a habit to tell people, “thank you.” To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you will soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you will find that you have more of it.

HAPPY NYE EVERYONE!

Love y’all,

-AG

Be more like Olaf

I mean I love the winter and all, but here in California when you get hit with that cold breeze you're automatically will get sick. WHICH SUCKS! So a little warmer weather would be nice, but N O T too hot, because I don't like that either.

THANKS! (:

Once in a lifetime experience!

Today I got to hung out w/ Mr & Mrs Claus w/ some of my co-cast members in Walt Disney's private apartment in Disneyland. This is truly probably one of the MOST coolest experience I have ever experienced working for The Walt Disney Co.

It took one year and one day to build the original Disneyland, and during construction Walt Disney wanted a hidden little place where he could watch his vision be turned into reality. The solution? The construction crew made him a secret little apartment on the 2nd story of the Main Street Firehouse.

The apartment itself is on the cozy side with only 500 sq. ft., but it served its purpose well. With a small kitchen, bathroom, and wooden desk, it had all Walt Disney needed to create, observe, and spend time with his family in peace from within the park. The apartment has been well-preserved and restored to be almost exactly as it was when the Disney family used the space in the 1950's.

TRULY BLESSED!

Kobe Bryant jersey retirement: Lakers hang No. 8, No. 24 in Staples Center rafters / Ko8e24!

The ceremony began with Kobe's short film, "Dear Basketball," played on the arena Jumbotron. Then Bryant was introduced by fellow Lakers jersey retiree Magic Johnson, and he was followed by Lakers owner Jeanie Buss. Following the introductions, Bryant's jerseys were revealed, one on each side of former Lakers announcer Chick Hearn's in the rafters of Staples Center.

Kobe Bryant watched as not one, but TWO of his jerseys were retired by the Lakers in front of a packed house at Staples Center. No. 8 and No. 24 were unveiled simultaneously in the rafters as the Mamba grinned, soaking up the energy in the arena that his 20 years of play created.

It was a great moment in Lakers history, which featured an animated video tribute, words from team president Jeanie Buss, high praise from Magic Johnson, and Kobe surrounded by his family.

"Thank you so much for tonight. But it's not about my jerseys that are hanging up there for me," Bryant said to the crowd. "It's about the jerseys that were hanging up there before. Without them, I couldn't be here today. They inspired me to play the game at a higher level.
"It's also about the fans. ... I don't think you guys understand how present you guys were with me. You guys were there at 5:30 in the morning when I was running the track and I was midway through my workout. I didn't know if I could make it through, and I thought about the expectations you guys had for me, you had for our team. And it pushed me through."

Bryant led the Lakers to five championships, three while wearing No. 8 and two while wearing No. 24, during his 20-season career. He's the franchise leader in several categories, including points (33,643), games played (1,346), 3-pointers made (1,827) and steals (1,944).

Bryant won two NBA Finals MVP awards and one regular-season MVP, and he retired as No. 3 on the all-time NBA points list behind Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who also has his jersey retired by the Lakers.

Til' the wheels fall off

Leslie, a girl that I never thought I’d be close and having a great relationship with since high school is still one of the most amazing girl I have ever met so far in my life.

I had the BIGGEST crush on her in high school but you know, “shit happens.”LOL  But anywho! I lowkey still have the biggest crush on her til’ this day (but she don’t know that) and I don’t think that’ll ever change.

The only thing I can say is that as long as she’s happy on whatever she’s doing in life, that’s good enough for me. I’am blessed and truly thankful to be having her in my life.

I’m always thankful for your support on whatever I’m doing in life and you are truly appreciated. Don't ever forget that you are still the MOST BEAUTIFUL girl in my eyes forever.

Love you Les!

51st death anniversary of the of the 'Most Influential' human being on the planet.

On this very sad and somber date, December 15, 1966 at 9:35am, The World mourns the passing of Walt Disney. For many of us, he’ll always be known as our Uncle Walt.

Just 10 days after his 65th birthday, Walt passes away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, Ca.

When the news of Walt’s death reaches Disneyland, consideration is given to closing his beloved Park for the day, but instead it is kept open, as Walt would have wanted. The Flag that flies in Town Square on Main Street is lowered to half-mast.

Many news services throughout the world shared personal feelings and condolences to the Disney Family, close friends and Cast Members.

Marc Davis, Disney Legend and one of the “original 9 Old Men” said when he heard the news: “I was in my office at the studio. One of the men who’s sister was a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital across the street from the studio called to say that Walt Disney had just died. It was a shocker!”

Disneyland Ambassador Connie Swanson said, “It was like losing a family member. Very difficult. Most of us stayed at work because that’s what Walt would have wanted us to do. The flag was lowered at half-mast. It was very, very hard, and I stood at the Town Square for the retreat that night until the flag was totally lowered. It was my way of saying Goodbye.”

It would take more time than anybody has around the daily news shops to think of the right thing to say about Walt. However, on the CBS Evening News With Walter Cronkite, commentator Eric Sevareid states this about Walt:

“He was an original. Not just an American original, but an original. Period!"

"He was a happy accident, one of the happiest this century has experienced. And judging by the way it’s behaving, in spite of all Disney tried to tell it about laughter, love, children, puppies and sunrises, the century hardly deserved him.”

“He probably did more to heal – or at least soothe – troubled human spirits than all the psychiatrists in the world. There can’t be many adults in the allegedly civilized parts of the globe who did not inhabit Disney’s mind and imagination at least for a few hours and feel better for the visitation.”

“But what Walt seemed to know was that while there is very little grown-up in every child, there is A LOT of child in every grown-up. To a child, this weary world is brand-new, gift wrapped.

Walt tried to keep it that way for adults…”

Roy Disney, Walt Disney's then 74-year-old brother, said:
"We will continue to operate Walt's company in the way that he had established and guided it. All of the plans for the future that Walt had begun will continue to move ahead."
Besides his brother, Walt Disney is survived by his widow, Lillian, two daughters, Mrs. Diane Disney Miller and Mrs. Sharon Disney Brown.

From all of us on your 51st anniversary of your passing Uncle Walt, we would like to pray that you continue to Rest In Peace.

The Walt Disney Co. just bought 21st Century Fox for $52.4bn

Walt Disney has agreed to buy 21st Century Fox's entertainment assets for a total $52.4bn

The deal includes Fox's 39% stake in satellite broadcaster Sky, and the 20th Century Fox film studio, Disney announced.

Fox's remaining assets, including Fox News and Sports, will form a new company.

The deal ends more than half a century of media expansion by Fox owner Rupert Murdoch, who is 86 years old.

He turned a single Australian newspaper he inherited from his father at the age of 21 into one of the world's largest news and film empires.

Mr Murdoch will still retain control of News Corp, the news publishing group that split away from 21st Century Fox in 2013 and which owns the Times and the Sun newspapers.

Disney's purchase will add to its huge back catalogue, with high-grossing films such as the original Star Wars movie, the Marvel superhero pictures, Avatar and Deadpool, as well as TV hits including The Simpsons.

Disney chief executive Bob Iger said that Disney was "incredibly excited" about the acquisition, and that it was an "opportunity to expand iconic franchises", including Avatar and Star Wars.

"May the Force be with us all," Mr Iger said.

Neighborhood Nipsey x Ayexgee x Vans

I've always been a HUGE fan of rap royalty Nipsey HussleNip is an incredible philanthropist and also an amazing entrepreneur. He inspires me on how to run my business as well, by showing me what really "starting from the bottom" was really all about.

I decided to mockup a potential collaboration look for his brand The Marathon Clothing and VANS Sk8 Hi's. I used the biggest symbolism of Nipsey, which is the gang that he always claims when he raps, the "rollin' 60's crips." So I decided to use the blue bandana material, using different types of paisley leaves material that originated from his country, Eritrean. Also used his trademark "Crenshaw" logo script on the back embroided.

"CAST AWAY."

I knew, somehow, that I had to stay alive. Somehow. I had to keep breathing. Even though there was no reason to hope. And all my logic said that I would never see this place again. So that’s what I did. I stayed alive. I kept breathing. And one day that logic was proven all wrong because the tide came in and gave me a sail. And now, here I am. I’m back. In Memphis, talking to you. I have ice in my glass. And I’ve lost her all over again. I’m so sad that I don’t have Kelly. But I’m so grateful that she was with me on that island. And I know what I have to do now. I gotta keep breathing, because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring? -Chuck Noland

Always remember that no matter where you are at in the ladder of life/success, always keep in mind to be appreciative on everything you have in life. Because in an instant, everything could be taken away. Always live in an attitude of gratitude. Don't wait for someone to tell you that you only have weeks, months, or days to live. LIVE NOW! Enjoy this incredible journey that we call "life."

Nike Officially Launches the Pro Hijab

Without any optimal sportswear options for hijab-wearing athletes, most had to turn to DIY remedies — New Jersey champion fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad recalls sweat making hers heavy and stiff, not only making it hard to hear but to comfortably move. Finally, Nike is set to release its Pro Hijab to solve the issue once and for all.
Crafted from a single-layer of Nike Pro cool mesh, the breathable garment allows hijabi athletes to compete comfortably, without constricting their movement or overheating. Professionals including the United Arab Emirates’ weightlifter Amna Al Haddad and figure skater Zahra Lari, Dubai runner Manal Rostom and German boxer Zeina Nassar all evaluated the headwear at every stage of development to optimize that resulting product. Design elements like a mechanism for an adjustable fit were rejected during the vetting process for adding weight — the goal was to make the garment as unencumbered as possible. Instead, designers opted for elastic XS/S and M/L sizing to accommodate as many head shapes as possible.
Available December 1 in black and obsidian, the Pro Hijab can be purchased on Nike’s website and from Nike stores around the world. In other sports news, Aimé Leon Dore‘s Teddy Santis discusses his favorite basketball players with Franchise magazine.
